The Minnows and the Barracuda

I’m not interested
in the wars between the minnows
between the white and the black minnows
the gay and the straight minnows

The boy and the girl minnows
the saved and the sinner minnows
I’m interested in the war
between the minnows and the barracuda

The barracuda
who loves to see the minnows
distracted with each other
as he opens his jaws to devour them

I’m a minnow
interested in the barracuda
the rich and powerful barracuda
How about you?
