These Are My Trophies
by Samantha Terrell / September 20th, 2015
would that
words
become my
trophies, heard
by contemplative
souls
who
only
seek that
which I fear I cannot give,
but am forever after
trying to, as the pensive
reflection tells me anyway,
in this, my computer-screen trophy case.
Samantha Terrell lives near Springfield, Missouri with her husband and two boys. She has had work published in DoveTales (by Writing for Peace, Colorado), the Ebola chapbook (by West Chester University, Pennsylvania), and others, as well as two poems pending publication by Knot Lit Magazine later this year.
