Vacant Visionaries

empty eyes
use
a looking-glass to see
reality
that’s fabrication,
making images to suit the occasion;
finding what isn’t
present,
and using false
as witness.
to say nothing of fact,
these glassy-eyes reflect falsehoods, diverting truthful impact.
