So Cynical

It’s a losing game
to be always pointing the finger
at whoever sits behind the desk
in the oval office

Any president
will have to do the bidding
of Wall Street and the Pentagon
and the rest of the usual suspects

And the one
who threatens something different
will be removed from the White House
before they do anything rash

And the powers that be
will go back to the politician bin
and pick out someone who knows
which side their bread is buttered on.
