The Good Citizen

blinded by his
own country,
eyes magnets
glued to a
brilliance bright
like a mad
sun, his
burning itself
to a crisp.

robot rusting
in downpours
of lies,
like any good
dog, accepting
any scrap
thrown his way,

dying in a
dying country.
