Prez Says Constitution Ain't Worth a Damn

“It’s just a piece of paper,”
Says the Big Wickie, the Ninny, the Hoot,
About, you know, The Constitution,
The Bill of Rights, the Preamble, “We the People” --
All that Jazz.

Whenever it’s about “reining him in,”
Checks and balances,
Curtailing the Madman,
Then it’s just old parchment --
Chewing gum wrapper. 

(Except those parts relating to
The Commander in Chief
In Time of War --
He likes all that.)

This is the Jerk who said,
“Life would be a whole lot easier
If America was a dictatorship --
So long as I’m the dictator!”

But this is also the Alfred E. Neuman type
Who likes to wave the flag
(Wears it on his lapel
And on his sleeve),
But has never been to the funeral
Of a single soldier killed
For “Iraqi Freedom” (nor any other kind),
And thinks he’s defending the world
Against terrorism
by employing State Terrorism
Anywhere, any time
He decides it’s justified.

You know the part about
Citizens being “secure in their persons”?
Thow it out!
Unwarranted searches?
Hooie!
Big Brother and the Holding Company
(The NSA) are free to spy
On anyone, anywhere, any time
In this known Universe.

Got an errant thought?
A little dissidence
In your morning stride?
Wanna make a joke
About a world gone mad?
F’geddaboudit!
GWOT’s got all our numbers now.

So …
Welcome to the New Millennium!
Welcome to the New World Order!

But, Please, O Please, O Please
Include me out!
