Pledge
of a Grievance
by
David Linhart
September
13, 2003
I pledge a grievance
To the Unilateral
States of Aggression
Because the
Constitution
Is property insurance
For rich folk making
money
To use to make more
money
I pledge a grievance
To the Unilateral
States of Aggression
Because ordinary folk
are confused
Into shooting ordinary
folk
While rich folk keep
score
Making up rules as
they go along
I pledge a grievance
To the Unilateral
States of Aggression
Because soldiers who
die for freedom
Are expendable and
dead
They died for special
interest instead
Freedom dies each of
their deaths
I pledge a grievance
To the Unilateral
States of Aggression
For taking risks we
have to take
For expecting
casualties on our side
Who is we? Who is our
side?
Who is our side's
mother?
