and everywhere madness

streets burn
soldiers lock
and load crooks
at country
clubs dictator
smiles perfect
teeth planet
smolders chokes
preachers damn
truth preach
ignorance imprisons
ignorance tattoos
replace action
the bully as hero
business of medicine
not health fires
and floods
a warning
not a war
tv lies lies lie
learn to love lies
oppression embraced
celebrated defended
a slow dance
to nowhere even
in wonder children
wonder why tests test
nothing parents
transmit rules
and fear conformity
stands to pledge
freedom a cliché
homeless die quietly
panic nestles
in for the long haul
change left town
hope’s got the blues
and everywhere
madness everywhere
