How about this sign at a tea party just write small or a little bit bigger sign.

The crucified planet Earth,
should it find a voice
and a sense of irony,
might now well say
of our abuse of it,
"Forgive them, Father,
They know not what they do."

The irony would be
that we know what
we are doing.

When the last living thing
has died on account of us,
how poetical it would be
if Earth could say,
in a voice floating up
perhaps
from the floor
of the Grand Canyon,
"It is done."
People did not like it here.
— Kurt Vonnegut

Than in the other hand a sigh that just reads
The irony would be
that we know what
we are doing.

Now if I saw someone with those signs I would want to talk with them. I would first say what does that mean your signs start off slow.

"And to me, that’s very sobering.” Then we will have the Sea ice in the Arctic go bye bye and does that raise Sea level well no but as the ocean warms more the ice that will raise sea level begins to melt. I'll bet we can deal with Sea level rise but along with Sea level rise we will have a minor change to the weather patterns even more than now not climate. We can then engineer seed's; ok grow crops under water or no water with rather high temperatures with 8 billion people nothing to it piece of cake the Capitalist system can work wonders you just wait and see. Hay I watched Orrin Hatch on the tube a few day's ago and someone asked him about taking Nancy's job and he got a big smile on this face and then said a few words that to me made absolutely no sense. Probably just me and in the coming day's, month's more absolutely no sense am sure maybe a tea party or two with music playing in the background take me out to the ball game or born in the USA. I was born in the USA and would I go to a tea party rally well no then again maybe with a sign that reads;

In just two days from now,
tomorrow will be yesterday.

and on the other side yes a double sign

If your voting could really change things,
it would be illegal. If we quit voting,
will they all go away?

The Canary In The Coal Mine

Just because the melting of the glacier won't have a devastating impact on Indonesia doesn't mean it should be ignored, Thompson says. Rather, it's like the canary in the coal mine — an indicator of changes in the planet's warming trends. And one that should be seen with boots on.

"When we look at what's happening to the ice on the planet, we use satellites. The problem with the satellite or aerial photography is you don't see the vertical thinning that's taking place," Thompson says. "Consequently there'll come a year in the future that there'll appear to be a glacier but it will disappear the next year because of the thinning from the top down. And to me, that's very sobering."

Thompson and his team may not be able to stop the glacier from melting, but in a certain sense they have managed to save Puncak Jaya.

"Part of our mission was to collect the record before it disappears so that we have a history from that part of the world," he says. "We store part of those cores in our cold room here at Ohio State because we know that 20 years from now there'll be new technologies and a better understanding of the climate system — but there's not going to be any ice to drill." NPR
