A natural-sane yearning to trust had been used for 10 k yrs by a smalll number of people. Trust is one of the most beneficial panhuman traits.
In this trait americans are no different than russians, germans, italians, serbs, japanese.
All of these people deeply trusted a vast minority of people which led them to countelss wars, exploitation, abuse of all kind, etc.
People trusted [please let's not use the words that they were gullible] people for eons [gone genetic by now]; americans are people; ergo, americans trust people!

Noxid’s piece appears one of best i have ever read. Hopefully, in his next piece he’d include such facts as trust and that first walled towns amounted to huge open prisons.
Obviously, once people, who prior to being herded, were scattered all over the place or lived in tiny settlements, they could not be as easily controled as in towns.
That’s why priests decided to build city-states. All cities in all asocialistic lands are but huge open prsisons; totally dependent on econo-military-governmental power of few people.
And even countries such as iraq, affgh’n, palestine, israel and pak’n are but large open prisons.

Of course, in an egalitarian society with a timocratic governance, all of us, includin cities and countries, would be much interdependent.
Best way to achieve that would be via an antipodal party to the present one war party for exploitation, torture, disinformation, etc.

Caveat about saying that israel appears as yet another prison. Some people would get angry; however, facts seen with naked eye, proves that israel is a total dependency on christian world; and there is no free lunches! tnx

Don’t laugh…too much.

Americans are NOT stupid.

Admittedly selective. A good many though will be voting in the sham democracy in 2012 with hundreds of millions of $ being spent by Obama and followers.

The author comes dangerously close to falling into the classic American trap of “universalising Americanism”, i.e. assuming that what happens in the US happens in the rest of the world as well. American proclivities in regard to religion are the subject of much hilarity in the European media and are usually presented as proof positive that Americans are, at best, screwballs or, worse, dangerous religious lunatics. “The Mosque” has received little coverage here, essentially, I think, because journalists are afraid to laugh just yet, in case the whole thing turns incredibly nasty. But when the dust has all settled, Europe will laugh its head off at the modern descendants of our colonial rejects and The Mosque will join the megachurches, the Bible literalists, the creationists and intelligent designers and Jim Jones and the Branch Davidians, the Scientologists and even the Mormons. I often wonder if the people who are behind things like this realise how much damage they do to America’s image with all this pseudo-religious clowning and the extent that the ridicule thus generated has contributed to America’s current decline.

In the US, no political leader can dream of working for the interests of his own country. They all compete with each other to prove to the Israel lobby groups (AIPAC, ADL, AJC, etc.) that he/she can look after the interests of a foreign country (Israel) better than his/her opponents. Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has pulled the mask from the US democratic charade: “There are many Members of Congress who wants to be free. I am one of them. I wanted to be free to vote according to my conscience, but I had been told that if I did not sign a pledge supporting the military superiority of Israel, no support would come my way. And sure enough, I did not sign the pledge and no support came my way. I suffered silently year in and year out, because I refused to sign the pledge. An then like a slave that found a way to buy his freedom – I went to work – I wanted to be free – Free to cast the vote in US Congress as I saw fit and not as I was dictated to…..” – Cynthia McKinney……
