Dostum, an ally of Karzai, Americans and Canadians (and others) are dying. They are dying for worse than nothing.

Afghan men, including soldiers and police have a ‘cultural habit’ of raping young boys, sometimes to the point of death.

When this happened in front of Canadian troops, the official response from Ottawa was to look the other way. Canadians are dying so that Afghan boys can be raped. Harper and Obama have a lot to answer for.

I’m very grateful for this article, where you didn’t feel the need to pretend that the only people that have a hard time in Afganistan are females. Clearly there are significant amounts of cruelty, bias, and societal hatred directed at males there throughout their lives. It is truly disgusting that these boys are beaten and electrocuted in order to sign doctored confessions, and that a female judge would order a raped boy not to even look at her before sentencing him to five years in prison.
