Medvedev: Russia must tap Arctic resources
By VLADIMIR ISACHENKOV (AP) – 9 hours ago

MOSCOW — Russia must defend its claims to mineral riches of the Arctic in increasing competition with other powers, President Dmitry Medvedev said Wednesday.

Medvedev said global climate change will likely fuel arguments between nations seeking access to energy and other resources.

"Other polar nations already have taken active steps to expand their scientific research as well as economic and even military presence in the Arctic," he told a session of the presidential Security Council.

Medvedev added that attempts have been made to limit Russia's access to Arctic resources, but he didn't name a specific nation.

"Regrettably, we have seen attempts to limit Russia's access to the exploration and development of the Arctic mineral resources," he said. "That's absolutely inadmissible from the legal viewpoint and unfair given our nation's geographical location and history."

Russia claims a large part of the Arctic seabed as its own, arguing that it is an extension of its continental shelf. In 2007, scientists staked a symbolic claim by dropping a canister containing the Russian flag onto the seabed from a small submarine.

The United States, Canada, Denmark and Norway have also been trying to assert jurisdiction over parts of the Arctic, which is believed to contain as much as a quarter of the Earth's undiscovered oil and gas.

Remember we are still in first gear so to speak and soon shifting into second then third. Someone on the TV said these trees in the road no power like when are they going to fix this in the greatest nation on Earth it's been two day's already like who's in charge here. As far as trying to slow this down are we going to try? I don't think so it appears the decision has been made it's just better to not try. Of course we hear smart grid sorry nothing smart about it and that's only one example as it looks like when it comes to making money imagination has it's limits. A quarter of the Earth's undiscovered oil and gas and the key word here is undiscovered. Like who's in charge here? Well round still blue in color and 8 thousand years old the center of the Universe and the Sun goes around and around and comes up in the West and set's in the East and there's gold in them there waters. I wonder what it is was like walking with dinosaurs early human's you know when you see pictures of a concert and the people with there hands in the air and waving back and forth I wonder did early human's do that probably not a good idea we could tax carbon and return 100% of that money back to the people but probably much to simple.

How many clowns
can get out of that car?
All the lifers and peddlers.
All the oval office puppets.
All the touts.
All the burrowers.
All the hurdle makers.
The car has revolving doors!
What’s the car pulling?
A bench with robed clowns on it.
Is the beast driving the car?
No, the corporate ringmaster is.

Will Rogers was 101% right.

“There are many Members of Congress who wants to be free. I am one of them. I wanted to be free to vote according to my conscience, but I had been told that if I did not sign a pledge supporting the military superiority of Israel, no support would come my way. And sure enough, I did not sign the pledge and no support came my way. I suffered silently year in and year out, because I refused to sign the pledge. An then like a slave that found a way to buy his freedom – I went to work – I wanted to be free – Free to cast the vote in US Congress as I saw fit and not as I was dictated to…..” – former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney.....

I see it that way, also. But not even since 30 yrs ago. It is more like since 20 yrs ago.At that time i began to think ab how societies are structured on econ0-military-educational level.
Seeing for the first time that the socalled education, media reports, tv-movies, constitution, 'laws' are mere parts of a whole: of THEM-by THEM; and against us.

All of it controled by gangsters. From which mafia gangs learned the trade. In principle, a biker, street, club, congress, judiciary, cosa nostra gang behaving exactly the same! tnx
