They continue to vote for dems/repubs thinking that just if a new face is in the White House things will change. The face in the WH is almost irrelevant.

Today the Congress is discussing a jobs bill. Many jobs have left and will continue to leave because of the lack of a US health care system. The dems could have pushed through a Single Payer system and thus many US jobs would have been protected. The US will never be competitive on a global market until we have a Single Payer system and health care is NOT dependent on employment. Misguided progressives back the Public Option which is, at best, a bailout for the Insurance Companies.

As Nader says, we have a Corpocracy. Capitalism is not designed for the public good. It is designed for maximum profit for the few. And how much does the CEO of your hospital make? And how about the CEO of your college?

I thought I was being pretty creative in Mar 2008 when I created the catchy slogan “Run Tom Run” but somehow it never really caught on, alas:(
I AM somewhat bemused by the failure to connect any of this to Leo Strauss:)
I wonder if Mr DeGraw will notice the two articles on DV today about the Dubai assassination? I see a connection between them and what DeGraw reports, the names he names; I wonder if he sees it too?
