Actually, it isn’t going to be the same, this time it is going to be worst than anything man has ever experienced. If you think you’ll jump into the 4th dimension, well just keep thinking that until the flood washes you away. The idea that humans have somehow ‘evolved’ beyond the ancient world is completely ludicrous. If anything we have devolved and trully with our perception of 5% of the radiation spectrum, what do we really KNOW at all?? 5%, if that, for a lot of you are willfully blind. If you don’t seek the truth but make up your own then you WILL perish in your blindness. Not much time left, things are not going to continue on the way they have for us from centuries past. SEEK, KNOCK, ASK!

Please clarify “shifting of power of people to a center”.
History, as writtten by historians who made little profit from their works, tells us that mesopotanian king-ulers of ca 4-6 k yrs ago were considered dieties or gods.
So the shift of power to mono-rule, aided-approbated by patricians and priests, is with us even today. In US, even the godly powers of a US prez, aided by modern patricians, are very active.

What wld have happened to milosevich had he nuked croats or bosnians in ’91-95 period? And what happened to truman in ’45 for nuking japan?
Nothing, because to 99% of americans, truman, adams, johnson, clinton, obama are infallible when dealing in any manner whatsoever with old and new indians.
And does not US constitution have godly qualities? It being also infallible.

I agree with Eisenstein (and have written much about how to understand this), however, there are cyclical elements in the general progression of technological change. One of them does seem to be the shifting of the locus of power from ‘the people’ to concentrated centers and back again (accompanied by human heartache in both directions).

Nicely written article.

Charles Eisenstein in the Ascent of Humanity argues rather persuasively that the psychosis of modern society goes hand in hand with the development of technical civilization that separates us from one another; this isn’t a cyclical thing, but rather a linear progression that simply has affected different parts of the world at different speeds. He believes ultimately we will progress beyond that, but I am not so sure.

The fact is that we are part of nature, The nature is infinitely-valued. And no need to go to any school or read plato, nitzsche, jesus, ghandi to see, taste, hear, feel, or smell it.
However, i do say that we,too,are potentially infinitely-valued. Eg, most of us are innately trusting. This may be our greatest wealth and trait. Elephants, wolves, deer, lions, primates, chickens also exhibit this trait.
Animals seem to be incapable of lying, deceiving, hating, etc.
To survive we and most animals had to be very interdependent-trusting. We had to value one another.
But s’mwhen,-how,-where some people began to abuse the trust of the people. That’s what is happening now.
All people need to know is the fact that all priestly-politico-educational promises,damnations,admonitions; and most other utterances are lies.
Is that all, folks? Maybe!!???? tnx

Really, has anything changed. No, just the nature on how the end is achieved.

This “repeating of history” is in fact the fault of all humans. Most humans have lost faith. I have no “religious” affiliation, but I have lost faith in humanity. Humans tend, as you say, flock to the powerful when all seems lost. When things seem to going their own way, they say they can take care of their own. All selfish behavior.

Many ancient text have been demonized, but when ACTUALLY read by each individual human has all the warnings. Humans though allow themselves to be duped by the powerful, whom seem to have the ears of scholars, and let these powers make their interpretation for the Many. The Many eat it up like candy.

Everyone talks of a paradigm shift. Reading ancient text, paradigm shifts may have happened before. The only problem these shifts do not seem to be carried through. As humans, and we see this with world events even today, we can be led by our fear due to the fact we let the powerful interpret for we humans.

The world as we know it will change. Has happened before and will continue to happen. Humans are a blight on this small sphere hurtling through what we conceive as time and space. Either the forces of nature or the human power struggle, probably a combination of both, will start another round of empire building.

Either way, those whom have come before and paid the price to achieve nirvana may have realized that in the end no one can change someone else.

Only when you change does YOUR world change.
