Bob - Because the Palestinians are under illegal occupation. It's like asking the inmates of Dachau to make peace with their Nazi overlords. If at this late stage you think that its up to the Palestinians to make peace - then you've not thought about the issue at all.

Now, Just who do you mean by the Arab? The Moroccans? The Yemenis? The issue here is that of the Palestinians - who have been ethnically cleansed from their country and remain 42 years under occupation in what remains of it.

Let's be clear. The Jews Final Solution for the Palestinians began many decades before Hitler's Final Solution. The Palestinians did not invade the ghettoes of Eastern Europe, the Jews invaded Palestine. Having been gifted with 56% of the region, they first overran 78% and now 100%. Maybe you think 100% is not enough?

There can be no a priori recognition of Israel's right to exist (now elevated by the Israelis as the right to exist as a Jewish state) without Israeli recognition of the Palestinians as a people and their right to live in peace and security within this land. Recognition of any kind comes with sitting down at the table, coming to terms with what has been done to the Palestinians, and making full amends - something Israel is unwilling to do.

Obama's political actions are, like those of all former Anerican presidents, reflect accurately the submissiveness they all display to the prowess of the Israeli lobby in the US.

The proposed Havat Obama is not all that far-fetched, and may ensure a second presidential term.

First of all, for me, personalizing US longstanding foreign or domestic policy, will not do.
Much wider look is needed at who executes a US policy. We need to know how and why a US policy is executed.
It is not israel or to personalize it, netanyahu, who determines any US policy let alone carries it out. Or, is it?
But we need proof and not mere concluding.

i have no facts either to prove that israel/netanyhu cannot violate a US policy.
Can pal'ns, iranians, or pashtun disobey an american command [ i do not know that US does not say to pashtuns, Please, can u....?] and not be hurt in some way.

Yet we know that after any prez says no more expanding, isr expands and is rewarded for doing that!
Is here the primitive case of good-bad cop ploy?
And in view, that israel had always been a total dependency on christo-talmudic crowd, how can such dependency dictate to US?
S'mthing is going on. And people who may know, are not saying? go figure. tnx
