Interestingly and unsurprisingly Gordon Brown was repeating the name of 'Alki Ada' today in a speech on Aghanistan following Prime Minister's Questions at the start of which he intoned the names of the 37 military who have been killed in Afghamistan, primarily in Helmand Province. These 37 have died since the start of the MPs' summer vacation which lasted three months! The Opposition leaders joined him in this show of hypocrisy.

All of this enabled the MPs to take their minds off their expenses frauds and the pretence we are seeing that they have to repay the state.
