The underlying evil in this system, so called 'Big Pharm', is of course profit. Heaping mountains of money-profit, and the evil root to all this is the drug patent system, which is, in Big Pharm's case, inherently greedy beyond any human standard or belief.

It started when they went after medicinal plants all over South America, robbing specimens like quinine, to be planted in Empire fiefdoms, to grow, not for the benefit of the sick and dying masses, but for money-profit. The exploitation and robbery has never ended.

It is THE most blatant example of corporate greed in a world that is unable to share the tiniest morsel of mercy with the Earth's poor and suffering. If medicines are made to aid us in sickness or death, then such an altruistic endeaver should not by any moral standard be the subject of money-making and greed.

The patents need to go. Let anyone who is able put the best drugs on the market at a fair price. How would we "police" this system? Well, not by the incompetant, criminal, CIA-run, FDA. What good is it when they let the drug companies put any concoction, they think they can make a profit on, on the market. The FDA needs to go also.

But, in place of making progressive changes, we will eventually have 'codex alimentaris' shoved down our throats, and it will be impossible to find alternative medicine and relief of any kind.
Verdict: remove drug patents

In this country corporate lawyers have sued for equal rights under the U.S. Constitution, resulting in immortal legal entities with the ability to amass enormous wealth. Corporations, such as Eli Lilly and Pfizer, have been convicted of felonies and are allowed to continue business as usual.

Corporations want the same rights as sovereign human beings, yet an ersatz legal entity can’t be subjected to capital punishment? Many corporations would suddenly come to Jesus, if their charters were revoked when they committed heinous crimes.

Thanks for the excellent article, Martha.

There is only one solution to the persistent murderous behavior of the leaders of corporate America and that is to make them criminally and civilly liable for their actions.

Twenty years in deep lock-up in the federal pen in Atlanta should send a chill up their collective spines.
