Viera Scheibner (real name Viera Scheibnerová) is a retired micropaleontologist. From 1958 until 1968 she was assistant professor in the department of geology at Comenius University, Bratislava. She retired from the Department of Mineral Resources, New South Wales, Australia in 1987. Her qualifications, research abilities, and honesty are under question. She is essentially a geologist.

Moving on: "British geneticist and bilphysicist Dr. Mae-Wan...". What is a bilphysicist!? I can't seem to find that job description anywhere.

You state: "The Lancet reported that a 2008 study on “immunocompetent elderly people aged 65-94 years enrolled in Group Health (a health maintenance organisation) during 2000, 2001, and 2002″ found that “influenza vaccination was not associated with a reduced risk of community-acquired pneumonia during the influenza season.” Influenza predisposes individuals to contracting pneumonia."

Well hello...the vaccine is against influenza, not necessarily against an agent of pneumonia other than influenza (and that occurs mostly in infants < 24 months of age)!

Did this study look at people who developed pneumonia without being infected with influenza, or influenza patients that subsequently developed pneumonia? Was this pneumonia identified as caused by a viral or bacterial agent? These considerations have to be 'teased' out from the data first.

Too many inconsistencies in researching this article - I give it a D- !

I had my last flu shot at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri in 1956 while in Basic Training with the U.S. Army Reserves. I was very sick for three days and will never take another flu shot.
