After 1967 war, Zionist prime minister, Levi Eshkol, and Reza Shah Pahlavi agreed to set-up a joint oil venture, known as Trans-Asiatic Oil. In its heyday, Trans-Asiatic was an economic empire with a turn-over of billions of dollars. After 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iranian National Oil Company stopped selling oil to Trans-Asiatic, killing the Zionist hen which laid golden eggs. Zionist regime still refuses to pay Iranian share of the hundreds of millions of dollars (based on 1979 value) stolen from the joint account. Similarly, the US has stolen more than US$28 billion from Iranian banking assests…….

Mulga – Just for the record, I do not go back (or forwards) a long way with the aforementioned. He refers to a story on the Palestine Think Tank website about a crazee Orthodox Jewish woman who wanted the automatic communal lights in a block of flats in Bournemouth, where she had a second home, disconnected. The lights were disturbing her observance of the Sabbath! I happened to mention that I was brought up in Bournemouth and that is all. He is so ridiculous.

As we have seen over the decades Israel has taken a familiar path further and further to the racist and fascist Right. Zionism was cogently and presciently criticised by many Jews on just this basis, that Israel would become a colonial settler state like any other, based on the dispossession of an indigenous people, and exacerbating the worst chauvinistic and supremacist tendencies in Judaism.
