<i>These actions are easy for women, but hard for men—that damn testosterone! </i>

It is true that women played a much larger role in indigenous society. Obviously men in indigenous societies recognized the importance of women. This it was not "testosterone" but the social moors of indigenous society. European societies is not constructed to benefit men or women but to benefit the hierarchy. Its wealth is derived by oppressing and exploiting people. European societies are constructed to be anti-social in order to maintain division which protects and maintains the hierarchy.

Since women make up the majority they should obviously have much more power than they currently have. The question is why not? Because as we have seen with the women's movement: women are also divided on race and class grounds. Therefore we cannot ignore Marx as the author seems to. Women do not function in lock step and neither do men. Stereotyping clearly does not yield solidarity.

It is also nice that the author paints and idyllic vision. Such vision are important to rethink how we product but technology is not going to go away. Also "scarcity" is a hallmark of capitalism not is not part of Marx's vision socialism. In fact Marx recognized abundance and that is a major reason why the can be socialism. Technology helped to produce that abundance. Clearly the author typing his article on his computer and being on the Internet is a function of technology. However once again the problem is on the lack of power and solidarity of the working class to transform society from their rulers.

The essentially message from this author is that sexism is at the root of oppression not capitalism and racism. Therefore while it is informative from a historical perspective it glosses over its own contradictions and therefore in the end will only confuse and mislead readers.

Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat money. ~Cree Indian Proverb

 I wonder Bozh how did they know? Maybe all those wild and crazy guy's shooting from the trains at anything that moved. The old iron horse but look how far we have come I mean we put a man on the moon. Granted many people are about half nut's but we can go shopping. Look how far drug's have come in just a short time and eating is now taking on a whole new meaning. Oh yes a giant step for the human race. Do we see in our present system working together, reason, facing problems with knowledge. I need a nice quiet cup of coffee. Here's an old song sing it Bobby Darin.

Alone in the world was poor little Anne
As sweet a young child as you'd find.
Her parents had gone to their final reward
Leavin' their baby behind.

(Did you hear?)
This poor little child was only nine years of age
when mother and dad went away;
Still she brav-el-y worked
At the one thing she knew
to earn her few pennies a day.

She made artificial flowers, artificial flowers,
Flowers for ladies of fashion to wear;
She made artificial flowers, you know those artificial flowers,
Fashioned from Annie's despair.

With paper and shears, with some wire and wax
She made up each tulip and 'mum.
As snowflakes drifted into her tenement room
Her baby little fingers grew numb.

From makin' artificial flowers, those artificial flowers
Flowers for ladies of high fashion to wear.
She made artificial flowers, artificial flowers
Made from Annie's despair.

They found little Annie all covered with ice
Still clutchin' her poor frozen shears
Amidst all the blossoms she had fashioned by hand
And watered with all her young tears.

There must be a heaven where little Annie can play
In heavenly gardens and bowers.
And instea-a-ad of a halo she'll wear 'round her head
A garland of genuine flowers.

No more artificial flowers;
Throw away those artificial flowers,
Flowers for ladies of society to wear.
Throw away those artificial flowers,
Those dum-dum flowers,
Fashioned from Annie's,
Fashioned from A-a-a-annie's
Des-pa-a-a-air.

euros are trained to be dependent. Inuring dogs to to be dependent is OK for dogs; i.e., they don't mind it a bit.
but inuring kids to believe they shld be independent, while actually being trained to become over time near-totally dependent, is a criminal act.

it seems to me that also other people have followed euros model of dogizing childern. Ot it may be the other way around: we euros learned it from empires such as egyptian, persian, assyrian, et al.

only a few geniuses have espied what actually was going on for the last 10-20K yrs.
more people than ever now see the ruse clearly. How many? 2% of pop in any country? In US, canada maybe just 0.5%?
OK, it is a begining and better late than never, i say! tnx
