Indians are viewed as more like us, English speaking and Anglophile – sort of dark-skinned ‘white’ people. And India’ s Hinduism is not seen as a threat at all – rather as a bulwark against Islam. Israel has been cozying up to India for a while against the ‘common enemy.’ US arms to India serve to put the squeeze on the Middle East – Israel on the West, India on the East.
