Thank you to Jasmin, for writing, and to DV for publishing this tribute to an extraordinary human being. Here's a testimonial to all that humans should strive to be, speaking the truth through "right livelihood," and creatively at that, and no one else has a good word to say? Such a pathetic sign of American cultural rot that michael j. gets more press in dying than Dave Rovics gets in living an exemplary life. As well, Dave has to ask for a sleeping place with hat in hand, while hypocritical, elitist, imperialist gasbags like Bono and Sting stay in 5-star palaces of excess.

As a singer-songwriter, but more so as a human, I find Dave Rovics to be an inspiration and a beacon of conscience in a world very much in need of more of what he brings to us.
