Controlled by French companies since 1900, Gabon’s corrupt logging sector is the second largest income earner. One goal of the Congo Basin Forest Partnership is to facilitate U.S. corporate access to Gabon woods to ‘sustainably’ plunder Eden. Over 600,000 m3 of logs are annually exported illegally.
