Now that we know the story doesn't have a happy ending we keep doing it anyway. We right now are not smart enough to slow this down so we need to slowdown until we are. Guardian That is just the Amazon where do we get palm oil and what do we have to do to get it and on and on and not forever. 10 years and that could be pushing it the fight for survival starts it has already started for many but soon we all get a piece of the action. The 'aid' agencies do indeed provide a useful function. They provide the vehicle for other countries to pick up the tab for humanitarian relief in places devastated by the Empire. Furthermore supplying 'aid' to depsperate people has long been used as a wedge to prize open new economic controls of sovereign nations. So yes, the 'aid' agencies are doing very nicely thank you, and will probably continue to do so for some time to come. The UN is a wonderful idea, and the only real hope there is for world peace. But it will not be able to serve its intended purpose whilst rogue empires are permitted to exist. The only force the Empire truly fears is its own people - and with good reason: only its own people are capable of controlling it. They just need to figure out how.
