Beverly, you are absolutely right. Obama is Imperial Empire Business As Usual. This is not some kind of hyperbolic statement, but a clear unadulterated fact.

The net of everything Obama has done (perhaps since birth?) is to offer a vague understanding of what you want to hear, and then follow the power (who ever he/she is).

This has generally been true of immigrants who look for the American in charge and align themselves to the value system and thus what they perceive to be the road to “success”. Obama seems deeply committed to this inclination.

It is the core of the man who is acting out the role of commander in chief and president. And that core is made to please not to challenge, certainly not in any serious way. So, he’ll say a few things but always with a sense of appeasement; and the power elite know they are protected by Obama at the end of the day.

Bibi looked into Obama’s eyes and saw complicity he can live with.

Did someone slip Uri Avnery the “kool-aid?” Must have, if he believes Obama will stop US kowtowing to Israel’s whims, wishes, and wanton disregard for the rule of law/human rights/common decency.

Every US administration has had a “plan” for peace between Israel and Palestine – lots of jet fuel wasted flying to photo op meetings and lots of empty pronouncements. And there is NOTHING in the current adminstration’s actions, words, and personnel to make any mainstream media-free mind believe that Obama’s plan will differ from all the others.

You gotta read the fine print with Obama, Avnery. He makes great speeches and sound bites, but upon further inspection, all is not kosher.

great article by uri avnery. i didn’t realise what netanyahu was up to until i read this piece.
netanyahu certainly goes up sky high in my estimation now i realise what he is up to.
he should be supported by all right thinking people

To do this, [Obama] must be ready to take on the powerful Israeli lobby. It seems that he is ready for that.
Huh? Since when? Is this the same Obama that’s outmatched even Dumbya in kowtowing to AIPAC and the Zionists? The one who promised Israel ALL of Jerusalem? The one who persists in wrongfully labeling Hezbollah and Hamas as terrorist organizations and will still never speak a critical word of any Israeli crimes, no matter how abominable?
O has only gotten where he is by faithfully serving the status quo. I don’t see any possible reason to believe he’ll do anything different, especially on this of all issues.

if obama wld issue a diktat to israel and israel wld accept it, it wld prove once and for all who controls whom.
i have for decades thought that it is judeo-christian bloc, headed by US, who almost utterly controled israel.

however, i deduce, US will not present israel with a final order. Such an act by US now wld ammount to betrayal of near-hundred yrs of judeo-christian and US policy.

thus, we can expect yet another charade. At most, pals get a chance once again to talk to israel about talking about the conflict.
with any peace, imposed or not by US, the ‘jewish’, or rather ashk’c, state ceases.
desperate ‘zionists’ will gather their wizzards to find ways to persuade US not to impose any peace in the region.
forget about obama; think of uncle sam; he’d neve shame self by shouting viva la palestina.
for he cld have done that even in ’45. And uncle is not known for being insane; he’s known for extreme greed and ruthlessnes.
