I know ... need to check my spelling and watch for typos ... or else some smart-ass, just like me, will ride to the rescue ... and undermine my intent with criticism. Oh yes, I know ... for nigh onto 60 years I have had the small minded challenge the intent because that came out a taht ... or I dropped an 's' out of atmosphere! If I am capable of those mistakes ... then obviously I can not think ... my opinion is suspect.

The LG stands for library guy ... so may I suggest a book?

"Spell Albuquerque" by Tennessee Reed, ISBN 9781904859888 in paperback at $12.87

Electoral sham in Haiti?

What about the election SHAMS in the US?

Change! ... he said.

What change, I ask. Rhetorical change ... sure ... but the substance? I have a friend who loves O'Bama simply because O'Bama is not Bush (W) ... and who feels better about his life with O'Bama as president. Sure O'Bama says nice things ... Reagan said things that made me feel good ... but the substance ... the reality ... the day to day behavior of the empire ... the fact that we spend TWICE the amount of the rest of the world combined on our military ... the fact that we have more military bases scattered around the world than the rest of the nations in the world have military bases ... that we can't win in Iraq for the very same reasons we lost in Vietnam ... that the only countries we can defeat seem to be those like Grenada ... and still we posture ... still we bully ... still we threaten ... taht we still, despite the rise of the Chinese industrial base, pour more toxins per capita into the atmosphere than anyone else ... we rape and pillage and plunder resources ... and still we elect fools ... whether they mangle the language or speak with a harvard-enhanced vocabulary ...

We still are the empire that Darth Vader could have been proud of ...

... so just where in the hell is Like Skywalker?

And, where is the shame ... the admission that we are no better than Haiti?

But, then, I am a skeptical cynic ... and tired of the hypocrisy and sick of the so-called progressives who whine and rant into the blogoshere ... jsut like me ...
