US has already succeded in palestine, afgh'n, iraq. and to make matters better for self, all US has to do is to be 'friends' to baluchis, wazziris, pashtuns, tajiks, usbeks, azeris, kurds, sunnis, shiites, assyrians, et al.

it had succeded, if my evaluation is correct that US never went to war against afghan peoples to hunt dwn qaeda. or if they did, my 'god', how unknowledgable can the mass of experts be?

after all, it takes only a perfunctory look to see that terrorists don't need particular countries and their caves/mountains to plan an attack; any den, in any city wld do.
after all to strike america, one has to be in america and not in a cave of afgh'n.
and sure enough, none were in america; since another strike has not occurred! and in 7 yrs.

it also seems that al-quaeda is now preoccupied with own people; carrying out terror against them and not us.
furthermore, history proves that all wars are waged for land; tho, each rationalized differently; offering often not a single causative factor to attack a land.
even austria attacking serbia in '14 was primarily to curb serb quest to obtain bosnia and not just to punish it for the assassination of duke ferdinand.
curioso appears to be that US/UK/Italy/France/Russia went to war to defend serb terrorism; now are fighting socalled terrorism selves.
will it get even dumber than that? tnx

The conundrum facing Obama’s Israel Lobby masters is that continuing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, or either one of them, undermines Israel, but ending them also undermines Israel. Israel’s existence rests entirely on American brute force and US inability to win these wars undermines its military credibility, but once the wars end, not even the Lobby will be able to claim that the US is still a superpower. On the other hand, every day those wars go on, the US and is a little bit more discredited, and Israel damaged, by the perception, not merely that the wars are being waged in Israel’s interest but that the whole of the American polity has been hijacked and harnessed to the sole service of those interests. That, I think, explains Obama’s dithering over Afghanistan.
