Clampdowns against the Shia of Saudi Arabia are periodic happenings. They serve to push them back into their rightful places from the Kingdom's perspective namely; the peripheries of Saudi life.

Western governments and media also tend to respond to such clampdowns in a standard fashion: silence. Unless and until, the kingdom feels that it is no longer immunized from the world's criticism in its treatment of minorities, things are not about to change.

The Shias of Saudi Arabia have evidently not placed their hopes on Western governments. And for this, they deserve our praise and support!
