I believe that Constellation should be taken off and replaced with Monsanto. The legacy of GMO will stay on this planet indefinitely so they should be added. As for nuclear energy, it is actually rather safe and less harmful than coal or other fossil fuel power plants. I would prefer to see more wind and solar, but until then nuclear would be a nice thing because it is carbon neutral and although the waste does stay around a long time, there is very little of it compared to billions of pounds of CO2. Instances like Chernobyl happened because the Soviets were incompetent and I'm sure we can do better now.

I have to agree with those who voted for Monsanto. Perhaps it did not make the list because it has been so evil for so long it didn't stand out in 2008. Monsanto is patenting all the seeds in the world with the long term goal of controlling food supply. They genetically modify food in unnatural ways. Genes from animals were never intended to be infused into tomatos. Farmers are sued by Monsanto after their genetically modified plants cross with normal strains. Farmers as a group need to sue Monsanto for creating weeds which contaminate natural strains.

As you all well know, it's the corporations that run the country. The president is merely a figurehead. He is given the ability to push campaign promises, and various agendas, but the corporations are the ones that put him there, and the corporations are the ones that dictate terms. Different presidents are ruled by different corporations, but regardless, the President is simply a puppet.

If we really want change, we must elect officials that aren't backed by such powers. The ideal candidate for president is one who doesn't want to be president, but is persuaded to by the desire to help his country. How does a person like that compete with a billion dollar campaign backed by corporations? He can't. Its time for a new system to elect our officials. Senators, Congressman, Mayors, Governors and of course the President need to be people that have no ties to businesses, have no interest in business, and only care about the welfare of the people.

This is a dream that will never come to pass in a capitalist environment.

Joseph...I agree. It is us, WE, who are the stupid ones. While so many were saying that the Bush administration was stupid, they were laughing all the way to the bank.
AND now what about Lynn from Raytheon being appointed by Obama???????
It is not THEM. It is US. WE need to wake up. That will not happen as long as the masses are 'hopenotized'.
