every ‘promise’ ever uttered is a lie; it can be replaced with, We’ll see.

‘promises’ are mostly made tacitly. but since no one can predict future, why make them?
in the three unholy books there are thousands upon thousands of ‘promises’
my ‘favorite’ is the proclamation, Come, get your jesus.
however, rich and powerful people get/have their jesus and the wealth.
a hobo may have his jesus and stars above and not to mention a great country; the greatest, fairest, most just, etcetc.
meaning to say, Stop complaining, you lazy bum/idiot. What more do you want!

You use a portion (Judges) of a religious book as a credible reference to prove your point – that modern-day Israel is likened to Samson in its use of violence. Then you discredit another portion (Exodus) of the same book – ie that the Israelites flight from Egypt was a fairy tale.

There’s a little evangelical group of people in America who focus on certain parts of a book (judgement etc) and disregard the weightier matters of the same book (love, neutrality from politics – ie refraining from supporting a genocidal president and his Israeli ally). They are dangerous people!

The Bible is not a smorgasboard reference that you can pick and choose from to prove your points like the Creationists………..it’s either truth from a Creator or a lot of baloney. Choose which.
