And remember its called the "minimum wage' not the "living wage" the minimum wage in the vast majority of cases is a wage earned by teens and new entrants into the workforce, not heads of household. Our economy can dn will only operate effeciently when government quits restraining it. I admire you want for a utopia of prosperity, but it is impossible. in the most thriving and perfect economy their will still be poor and destitute. Nada. You seem to be of the school that thinks Obama is some beacon of hope. He ain't. Minimum wage needs to be at least $10 an hour if it means to be called a "living wage." That's a big jump from what it is now. There's no way we're going to get there, ever. When it's finally $10, it'll need to be $15. They'll never let us stop being poor wage slaves.
