Israel just singgers at any such protests or uses them as a pretext to “negotiate” further concessions from the Palestinians. The world has, I think, “wised up” to the Israelis and is no longer going to waste its time trying to persuade them to play by the rules. That, of course, is the bright side of all this. The Israelis are (yet again!) shooting themselves in the foot! The fact that they are lashing out wildly and hysterically like this shows the extent to which they believe, in their own heads, that they are defeated.
