right on, no bosses, no supervision.
people loved to work as long as they owned work and work place such as orchard, a vinyard, garden.
but once a payer-payee relationship took hold people hate work, bosses, and owners of work/workplace.thnx

I would love to know what "Hegelian broth" is! What appears above is culled almost word for word from Ambrose's article and I can't find the original interview anywhere. Anyway, now we have it! All the neocon bogeymen are going to become "statist", the US is going to become socialist and the EU will sit around delicately sipping Hegelian broth, or whatever one does with such stuff. On balance, it doesn't sound too bad!

Obama has successfully seduced the unwashed masses with the help of the Wall Sreet Barons and deep-pocketed Foundations.
To think that he will undertake any policies or actions counter to the interests of the elites is wishful thinking.
The historical implications of Obamas' seduction has many precidents,
the predominant being the reaction of the electorate when it is realizes that they have been had...conned in other words. Consider the analogy of a romance / love affair gone terribly wrong wherein the adulation turns to outright hatred. Robspierre of the French Revolution comes to mind. At his height of influence, he was regarded as a 'savior' of the French people. A mere two months later...his fate was to have his head removed in an atmosphere of unbridled contempt and hate.
Perhaps Obama may avoid this fate as did Carlos Menem of Argentina as he sold out to the elites in a crisis similar to that facing the US now.
Sadly, even so soon after his annointment...his choices for cabinet positions...seem to indicate that he may indeed be another Menem.
Let's hope not...the level of depridation and suffering will be unimaginable for the not just US citizens, but the whole planet.

Great assessment of our current economic and political situation, and from a broad historical and international perspective.

The devastating shocks of capitalist rule has barely set in, and it well take more to get people to stop looking to leaders from the capitalist camp to "deliver us from evil". They, the capitalists, wreaked so much destruction upon what use to be this earth's Garden of Eden that working people will finally wake up to the realization that they can, and must, cultivate, sow, and harvest the garden themselves, and for themselves, without capitalist participation. Only when working people finally realize that the earth's garden is really theirs, they will refuse to turn over or sharing their produce with this parasitic class. And they will realize that they can organize themselves to do this work without capitalist bosses, and they will take the tools which they have produced away from the capitalists who claim that they own them, and put them to use to create a sustainable way of life.
