Its always interesting to watch the Republicans call the Democratic candidate a "liberal" or "leftist" (usually with the qualifying "far").

Watching as one calls the other this or that, but particularly the way the Republicans frame what a "leftist" is. Which has nothing to do with being a progressive but simply a way to frame the other side of the duopoly for marketing and branding purposes, the smoke and mirror - Pepsi VS Coke.

But if progressive ideas matter than should never be put in the duapoloies box. Watching the debates, the Republican accuse the Democrats of a plan to nationalize health care!!!

The Obama/Dem plan is the complete opposite, it attempts to secure the privatization of the dysfunctional health "care" system.

A Ralph Nader/Matt Gonzales on the stage with these frics and fracs would have spoken to the millions who know better, but need to ear the voice in their head, the one that reflects on the ground reality, echoed back - the voice of reality, the voice of choice.

Go Nader!

Ain't that the fucking truth, sister. I never expect anything decent from either half of the one-winged Corporate Party, but still, I can't help but feel so deeply crushed by today's news. The Bush-Pelosi-Media fear campaign worked, and too many Americans changed their minds about the bailout in the latter half of this week, which may of helped greased the wheels of The House vote . . . and what a disaster this will be for all of us (save for the rich).

Ralph...thanks for the tip, but we HAVE been trying to influence our members of Congress. Vermont has 3 men in Washington. 2 voted for the bailout. Both are dems. On Sunday when you are in Burlington, please let them know that there is no difference between a democrat and a republican - except now. The democrats support Bush more than the republicans do.
