At least officially, slavery and owning humans is not good; women are recognized as people; killing people for fun is frowned upon; even such extreme ideas, that colored people are as human as uncolored start taking ground, or that people of different colors are equally human. Admittedly, there are relapses - like torture, that is still coming back like a vampire rising from dead. The way ahead of us is very long and fraught with dangers and difficulties - but we should see those baby steps we've taken towards equality, and keep the eyes on the prize... I am really losing hope for humanity these few couple of years... especially now with the conflict in the Caucasus... Its as if every government is vying for the elimination of humanity, and we the people have no say at all... A very depressing yet much needed article Mickey... We are already starting to see in a big way something that has been told for a few thousand years. "You must unlearn what you have learned." "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will..." and today we see that loud and clear. These so called elite's are destroying themselves because of the very reasons you just wrote so well and if they think I am going down that path with them they are sadly mistaken. Of course in the past we humans always got a second chance and this time that second chance is about the whole ball game and going to be very tuff to do. It can be done as the truth is on our side. I know that truth thing has been said and said but is true. I don't know how many of these so called elite's know it yet but the good the bad and the ugly are getting very easy to see. Go to James Hansen's web site and read his last post it was the best I always' say that and he always writes one better his last post you will see it.
