let not labels such as “zionism” semantically retard us to any degree.
we cld just easily use the labels “expansion”, “stealing”, etc., for what US and israel do.
and so obtain more understanding. these two last labels i just used tell us what had been going in n.america and what ‘rica had been doing and what had been going on in palestine.
birds of a feather flock together. and boast of their deeds.
obviously, if we use the label “zionist” , but mean “thief” , etc., biden indeed is a zionist, thief, murderer, etc.
but he did not need to tell me this; i knew that for a decades.
it’s at least a twoway street: biden, obama, clinton, bush egg on peres, rabin, barak, meir and vice versa.
as to who’s the greatest of them all, well, i don’t know? may they’re all equally murderous. thank u

This is the classic tiresome logic of people who keep reinventing the wheel every four years; the people who Ralph Nader says like to “rationalize their own futility.” By not supporting candidates who are calling for wholesale change of the very system itself (Nader, Cynthia McKinney, Brian Moore, Gloria La Riva), instead of marginal tweaking and occasional rotation of the faces at the top, you are contributing to having to go through this agony of yours everytime you step into a voting booth.

Ironically, judging from his website, Bill Rowe lives in California, a rather safe state. So why is this even an issue for you? You and your fellow Golden Staters could vote for Bozo The Clown for all the difference it makes in terms of where California’s electoral votes go.

what’cha going to do. reality is Obama is the (just) lesser evil, and that’s the only choice we have. We had better choices (ie Kucinich) but most people through ignorance,indifference, or choice did not like those choices. So maybe most Americans are duisgusting zionists. Would you have Obama commit political suicide and have other zionists like McCain or Clinton? It’s just more distressing than usual because our hopes were unrealistically raised by a politiking early-race Obama. in the end vote for a “baby-step” forward with Obama and hope we get 2 baby steps.want to lay the groundwork for a more real change? confront your neighbor, relative, spouse, church-goers, pastors etc whenever you hear a protestation of disgusting, ignorance, zionism,racism, over-the-top nationalism etc…. you might lose a lot of friends but gain some manner of satisfaction in knowing you are laying the foundation for a better world …someday ….

Max as you yourself has argued and often times try to obscure is that Zionism is ingrained in U.S. culture and political economy. However this time I agree with you that the problem as you’ve well state IS Obama’s pick. However Max what office may I ask is Obama running for … The Presidency of the United States.

The denial that has remained rather consistent among the Left refused to see Zionism as an INTERNAL problem within the United States. The Left went as far as to marginalize the anti-war movement in order to not confront this issue.

One again this goes to cause and effect. Had the Left mounted a real challenge to Zionism then a few things would have been in place for 2008:

[1] A stronger anti-war movement
[2] Bringing the problem of Zionism to the forefront of the body politic.
[3] Providing space for politicians to openly challenging AIPAC.
[4] A stronger floor for Nader (or McKinney) to run from.

The Biden pick is symptomatic of the influence of Zionism within the political economy and will require direct confrontation. Sure Obama picked Biden because he is heavily influenced by Zionism AND THAT IS THE POINT.

The real question to ask is WHY and WHY the Left has been in denial about this issue. Remember Max, even the most celebrated Libertarian Socialist Noam Chomsky, dismissed Mearsheimer and Walt with the claim that AIPAC is just a mere “lobby” group. So there is a real disconnect on the Left that mustn’t be ignored or obscured.

bozhidar balkas I think you’ve got a better bead on the power elite than some posters here.

For over 700 years, from fiedal times with lords and serfs the ruling class has always controlled through patents, licenses and titles natural resources. Privatizing through property rights created “land-lords”. This has been passed down to our so-called democracy, which is not a democracy but a representational form of goverment. When we, the commoners, are allowed to vote between this and that twin, the end results are legislation/laws fashioned by lobbiests and lawyers who then proceed to uphold the rights of the ruling class. Some distribution of wealth has happened here and there, but only to be grabbed back in hast. The levers of power, whether it was the ability to read, or access to legislation, powerful lawyers, control of the media, it has always been titled, nearly vertically for the power elite.

I am convinced that war is not a natural human condition. It is a condition created by the ruling class – primarily to grab resources for concentrating more and more wealth and power. Our system of law and corporate elitism is premised on this feudalism. It persists and can only be changed when the monopoly over natural resources is eliminated.

The rest of this ideological schism crap is doggy poop. Those in power pay no mind to. Talk about eliminating the legal licensing of nature and technology – then you’ll get their attention – BIG TIME. That’s because that’s were wealth and poverty, war and peace draw the line.

there is no doubt in my mind that zionism/israel is by far more important to the ruling class than amer working class.
but to conclude that israel is more important to the ruling class of america (which also includes euroasians with judaic faith) than the US, is to me not realistic.
