Didn't Russia and Putin have the same "problem" in Russia?
Certain "bankers" (oligarchs) trying to connive their way to owning everything for pennies on the dollar.
Didn't Putin, for the most part, run them of to the crime syndicate known as Israel. Their home away from home where they were/are welcomed and offered protection and immunity from extradition.
Take a look at the Fed. not hard to see just who these "banksters" are, is it?
You're just not allowed to say it.

Nader's 12 point message to Congress of Sep 24 is at

http://www.nader.org/index.php?/archives/2062-Congressional-Backbone-Needed.html

Would Nader's 12 steps calm or fuel the credit crisis? How real - how immanent - IS this "credit crisis"? I dunno, I'm a layman. But I watch Rick Santelli on CNBC. Santelli makes sense to me, with has cheeseburger remark about the ease with which Paulson's bankers can roll up to the Fed window and order whatever they want. He hates the Paulson scheme and thinks the world will survive a delay (of a week or so) that produces a better response to the crisis that Paulson's.

So I'm thinking that what Nader proposes had best make sense to him. Mark Haynes too. And Art Cashin. And Leesman and Faber. And even Cramer. (Forget Kudlow.)

Mike, do you follow these guys? Like 'em or not, they are the ones that the whole financial world is watching.

Mike, My, you have such a wonderful way with words. McCain rushed back to D.C., to display that he is the "one" to correct major problems. He stiffed David Letterman, by lying and not showing up to David's show. What a bad idea, John. You are now being hammered by David, and rightly so, as the coward and liar, which is part of your DNA. The American people, who scrimp and save, everyday, should not bail out thugs and thieves. No way....No How.

"Paulson’s Chicken Little routine might have soiled a few senatorial undergarments, but let’s hope the American people are made of sterner stuff and will reject this charade." We're sterner and smarter than they think. I think the polls have shown we've rejected this latest coup attempt. I can't stop singing "take the money and run". We've rejected a bunch of them . To not much avail. It seems the fab founding fathers didn't, couldn't envision a time when the people's house would be so cruelly cold to the will of the people. I can only hope when the camera was off someone at that latest crisis meeting told Mr. 19% approval rating to shut up.
"This is just the latest installment of the Shock Doctrine: engineer a crisis, and then steal whatever is left behind. Same shit, different day. Be resolute. " I believe we are resolute, Mike. But what to do with the weak-kneed Dems in Congress?
Thanks for the space.
Take care, Jan

Well Mike it's Thursday 9:00 pm and the plan is having a few problems. A new plan is now on the table by the Republicans and in the morning who knows. Here's a few ideas hard choices, hard work, not what you want but what you need. Use your mind think new it's called imagination. Reason, logic the truth about the problems we face. Ask for help from people who still care about the human race and have very good minds. Slowdown a little it helps sometimes.

Hello Mike,
A small change from your idea about jail time. Even the most economically challenged nation ought to be able to afford a few sets of leg-irons and a couple hundred jail cells. That’s all it will take. That, and a couple brisk dunks on the waterboard.) Since the claim that this is a Christian nation and many people see this country as a more modern edition of the Roman Empire I wish to change this to two of the solutions that the Romans used. The first was decimation a punishment used by the Roman Legions to regain their honor and crucifixion which was used against the criminals. By combining both of these it will keep the rest of the cockroaches in check (pun intended).
