Both the Left and Right third party efforts are being sabotaged from within. Nader got sabotaged in 2004 with David Cobb and it looks like the Libertarians are getting sabotaged this year with Bob Barr. However my experience with the Left has been that the Left has been sabotaging itself because it doesn't want to really build up the kind of power base it requires. It seem like the are enough members on the Left whose agenda is to totally misguide activist rather than to lead them. I can't speak for the "Right" but I do have Libertarian friends who are very upset with the direction of economy and the government's priorities and growing authoritarianism. I agree with brs. Better choices, like Kucinich, unfortunately were not taken seriously. Nader and McKinney do not stand a real chance so we have to go to vote for the candidate we have rather than the one we want.
