Advancing technology for technology sake is something we are brainwashed with, and is detrimental to society. Technology should be a tool for improving our way of life which, with out rapidly increasing knowledge, needs to be kept in check sometime. It takes money and time to invent things, and we need to allocate those resources properly. Our birdshot approach is making this tool we call technology entirely too cumbersome to use anymore. I in no way condone any censorship on invention, but it's time to start finishing some old projects before we throw money and time at new ones.
