It is not unbelievable that the American public is so cowardly. They rely on the trained mercenaries we have developed as the US military and avoid becoming involved in any type of protest or inquiry because they are so jaded — callous. To think the country was founded in conspiracy to dominate the economic potential of this new land stolen from the inhabitants and still promotes conspiracies against its own citizens who are too weak, gullible and unpatriotic to protect their own sovereignty.
Ivins and many others have died in vain when the American people will not protect their own nation from within. This is the prime reason we are disrespected and insulted throughout the world.

he recieved it AFTER the anthrax attack, and as a result of getting an anthrax vaccine program back on track. without the attack, this program may have failed, and his job may not have been so secure.

not that i disagree with your idea in general, just wanted to point out this detail.

Excellent article! An additional note: no one has offered any evidence that Ivins supported a political ideology which would inspire the “Death to Israel” and “Allah is great” parts of the anthrax letters. It further strains credulity that a homicidal maniac, purportedly identified as such long ago, would choose to lie in wait and capitalize on 9/11-inspired Muslim hysteria as a cover. How does that fit into the female stalking and abortion issues that have been floated to support his sociopathic rage? Isn’t the conventional Bureau wisdom that these criminals are eager to make their own statements?

Whose agenda benefitted from the content of the letters? Certainly not one that can in any way be connected to Ivins.

Thank you for the article. I have experienced a two year long government investigation similar to what Ivins must have been through (about a different subject). I understand the tactics used. I wanted to commit suicide also and I think that was the goal of the government investigation. There was a major coverup in my situation and I only found out the truth approximately 10 years later. I have to believe Ivins is innocent.

This is a much-appreciated presentation of the issues in this case. Thoughtful attention to even the very spotty and misleading MSM coverage suggests these conclusions, so the ‘official’ conclusions are crazy-making.

The meaning of these conclusions are so terrifying that most people couldn’t/wouldn’t recognize the depth of the criminality of our own government; even as we will believe equal and worse things of many other governments.

A question comes to mind, though. Even if William C. Patrick III and Ken Alibek are two of a handful of people who possessed the means to produce weoponized anthrax, surely this doesn’t necessarily make them guilty of carrying out the attacks.

This was a problem I had with the fingering of Ivans, as well. It seems that security at Fort Detrick was lax enough to have enabled an unauthorized ex-employee to enter the USAMRIID lab.

Is it not possible that the same could be true for the Dugway and Battelle facilities?

Moot question, perhaps, as I suspect Sheila Casey is correct in suggesting that the US establishment no longer gives a damn whether their cover stories are plausible. The US no longer possesses a judicial body that would be willing, or even able, to bring the perps to justice. Chilling thought.

The original FBI team that was put on the anthrax investigation immediately zeroed in on the CIA contractor Battelle, who runs the labs in West Jefferson, OH and in Dugway, UT. But because this was a false flag operation, and the govt does not disclose its own crimes, that original FBI team was sacked in 2001 and replaced with Richard Lampert, who led them on a merry goose chase for the next seven years while they waited for Bush’s policies to be implemented.

At this point, with the Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, NSPD 51, etc, firmly in place, they have to little to fear from our realizing that the attacks were done by the CIA. The detention camps are in place, our Constitutional rights are gone, and they can call us terrorists and hold us indefinitely if we make too much of fuss.

Excellent work, Sheila. Great piece of reporting. I am curious to know what happened to the suspects you mention as the probable culprits? Were they investigated? What are they up to these days? Did they get promotions post-9/11, or simply slink away into the night?

In many respects, of course, the US has never had “a working government,” at least not in the way most folks think of government. In reality, the US has been a corporate state from the get go. The Massachusetts Bay Colony, if memory serves, was actually a corporate enterprise, funded, organized, and controlled by the Massachusetts Bay Company…
Much of the early colonization of the country was initiated by businesses and corporations seeking freedom to rob and terrorize people without having to share power and loot with hereditary elites. The US was formed to be business / corporate “friendly.” Government oversight of business has generally been a sham and a scam, mere propaganda to make it easier to rob, manipulate, and gradually turn the population into little more than herd animals, grazing about, waiting to be “harvested” by the people who own the country.

Remember, too, that major media are also big corporate monsters. Every crime against ordinary people can, in one way or another, be traced back to the brilliant propaganda programs of Big Media. Without them, everything would be profoundly different. They’re not “just another part of the problem,” they’re an essential part of every government / corporate program to rob and rape and dominate us. They are the great darkness in which the endless crimes take place…
