money was invented in anatolia, probably by hittites. i do not remember when the money was invented; probably ca 2td bc.
and now i say may the inventor rot in hell. money is root of all evil on interpersonal and international levels.
money buys killers; of liars not even to talk about. so, one can safely conclude that money, and esp'lly in patrician rule, will remain to be cause of all of our wrong doings.
does anyone know or has gut feeling that we can use money and have little or no harm arising from its use?

How about a tax n accumulated wealth? Say 10% per year on all wealth over 10 million dollars. And no company may do business in the US if it is owned by folks holding more than 10 million dollars.

"democracy a step to oligarchy"
i think aristotle was mistaken, we'v had, i believe, pluto-military-sacerdotal-oligarchic rule just ab everywhere for millennia.
doesn't this explain thousands of wars, slavery, disinformation, serfdom, classes of people, rebellions against patricians, religions (self structured like a military), etc.

There is a lot to be said for a maximum wage. Certainly it is necessary to address the many mechanisms of hiding earnings as well. The high wages paid to the CEO's has not led to prosperity or even correlated to success and profitability for the companies.
Supply and demand does not drive this. I have had the personal experience of being told that supply and demand does not cause wages to rise by recruiters. They have come approaching me saying they could find people with the skills I have. When I told tham that we should be able to reach a generous wage settlement then due to supply and demand I was told it did not work that way.
If that is true for technically trained and college educated professionals then it is obvious that CEO pay is not driven by supply and demand either; just cronyism. The airlines, auto manufacturers, Enron, and the many troubled financial institutions today prove that it is not performance driven.
