For all Code Pink's bluster about stopping the war, they're solidly in the Democratic party camp. If I'm not mistaken, head honcho, Medea Benjamin backs Obama.

Here's the problem, in my opinion: until the antiwar movement returns to its roots as an "extra-parliamentary" opposition, focused on mass actions against the war, we'll continue to be mired in the swamp of lesser-evilism: "just wait until November!" is a prominent mantra from this camp. It was a dead-end during the Vietnam war era and is just as useless today.

While at Camp Casey a few years ago, I had a tiff with the Code-Pinkers because of their very prominent sign, right out front of the "Peace House," which said "when Clinton lied, no one died."
I asked them about all the dead of Iraq, from the sanctions, and the dead and the future dead (DU) of Kosovo and Serbia.
They basically told me to 'shove off.'

Hmmm,
all this ... cutting-edge science is enhanced through the expertise of the University of California and its ten campuses and the team's affiliation with The Texas A&M University System.

Maybe those silly Code Pinkers, when they've finished lyind down in front of the USMC recruitment office or painting their hands red, could protest UC-Berkeley for being in bed with these war profiteering gangbangers.
