I noticed that Israel is (secretly) buying oil from Iran even as they scream for Iran's destruction and DEMAND no other nations buy oil from Iran.
What are we, ten years old?
Yep.

Interesting amendments to the Jubilee Act were tacked on by Dana Rohrabacher who sez debt relief eligibility for poverty burdened nations must show that governments hold "free" and fair elections, and Barney Frank amendments added that nations must cooperate and aid in stopping illegal immigration to the US, and the debtor nation must not do business with Iran.

That's amendment code talk - they really mean putting in US approved heads of state, keep those black folks there/the US prefers brown cheap labor, and no Iranian connections, i.e. your either with us or agin' us.

The quote "I wish the wealthy ones in Haiti could accept to share and stop looking down at the lowly ones." Same might be said of US wealthy.

Wealthy Haitians are assured they need not share as the US/UN "peacekeepers" will roll into town to put down the unwashed masses when they approach the gated estates. The wealthy Haitians are extremely grateful for that debt write off.

I heard Nike and Disney packed up and left for other plantations after their abuses in Haiti came to light but of course other multinational overseers rushed in to pay those 11 cents/hour wages.

Debt forgiveness will not solve problems for the Haitian poor. But it makes D.C. pols and the global "ruling class" look good for a day, well ... it looks good to the symbol-minded.
