You forgot to mention the negotiation process that the FARC and president Pastrana went trough in 2000.
What did the FARC used the de-militarized zone for? How was the zone, and its surroundings, before and after that process? How many people where kidnapped in the zone, and its surroundings, during the peace process?
I hope you research and answer that question in your next post about Colombia. And by research I mean search beyond anncol and fighter+lovers...
I know that you think that every revolution is well founded (specially when you don't suffer the consequences of the revolution), and that the FARC are here to save us from Uribe, but that's just choosing between the bad and the ugly.
One more thing. The FRAC members that the colombian government has capture, those that you call political prisoners, are there for a reason! they have murdered, kidnapped and extortion a lot of innocent people, and there's nothing political about that.
I will like you to explain to me how political was the kidnapping of my cousin when he was just 14 years old, and when my family had to pay the FARC to release him.
Once again, I know that its easy to think that the FARC are fighting for the colombias just because Uribe is such a scary person, but seriously, you foreign people have to stop supporting an organization that you don't know and you don't understand. You just have to be here to see the reality.

Pd: Cali is one of colombias biggest cities, and it have received a lot of attention from the FARC in the last 2 years. How close is Cali to the zone that the FARC want to be de-militarized?

Alan Dershowitz is an officer of THE COURT.

Alan Dershowitz can go to his brother lawyer, the honorable judge (JD, Harvard) , and get you and your Mum arrested for vicious anti-Semitism.

French lawyer and rabid Zionist supporter of Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people is going "to help" and "mediate" in Colombia?

Alan Dershowitz could help with mediation, too.

And you thought that lawyers and judges were always trying to keep the shadow boxing going in order to milk every dollar from the battling bewildered clients.
