Freedom of speech is a myth. During the last election in Bennington, Vermont political forums were held in publicly supported buildings, such as the fire house. These forums prohibited Third Party Candidates from participating. When I questioned this, the Secretary of State and also members of the Select Board defended the practice . It is legal in Vermont. An even more important problem exists in the school system. Any teacher who taught an accurate history of US foreign policy would be putting his job in jeopardy. Ron…very interesting article.
