A conspiracy theorist might say something is askew. And why does anyone think that having a national ID will make it any easier for the governement to do what it already does? Or that not having a national ID will preserve privacy? The technology is further advanced than what most people think - and much more advanced than what they'd like you to think (as seen on TV for example). Did you never wondered why the police on TV need to keep the bad guys talking to trace a call while Domino's Pizza knows the address from where you're calling as soon as they pick up the phone? You really think it takes so long for them to collect all the little pieces of your life? Wake up people! It's too late!
