I think we actually agree. The public education system is slowly but metholdically being destroyed by the Bush regime, part of entire the on-going class warfare that is destroying every aspect of living standards for average working people in this country, the large majority of people.
War will never endas long as it is essential to profit-making for the military-industrial complex. The war in Iraq for oil, profit and hegemony has slaughtered over 1 million people.
Global warming, pollution, and environmental destruction will cotinue unchecked as counter-measures threaten corporate profits of polluters.
Health insurance is not affordable for 47 million. So what can they do if they become seriously ill? They will simply die off.
The unregulated, untaxed, run-amok gangster capitalism is carrying out a war of genocide against the unprofitable.
A new party that expresses the economic needs of the large majority. For example, a universal "single-payer" health care system (a super Medicare system, an expanded Social Security system), is but one aspect of what is needed.
A universal educational system, with free education through college and even in adult education, as technologies and the needs of society change. None of this is possible under the existing corporate capitalism.
Impossible to explain this in a comment!

Jeremy...You make some good points. I disagree with your view of education. We should end government schools that we now have. That is how we got to where we are. The public school system teaches a warped view of history, patriotism, and competition. It fosters the idea of training workers for corporations instead of teaching critical thinking. We need a system of publicly financed private schools to provide education through graduate and medical schools. I advocate 100% public financing of all schools - including home-schools. (I am a former teacher and have worked in schools since 1957.)

"We have the right to hold both of the political parties accountable. We not only have the right, we have the responsibility."

Please follow the logic of your many statemets in opposition to both Republican and Democratic Parties. You have already left the Democratic party and are running against Nancy Pelosi for her seat. Excellent.

Both parties are controlled by corporate money and therefore interests and agendas. Both support the unending global war(s) for profit, power and conrol of natural resources (oil) etc. Both parties refuse to end pollution of the planet if it affects corporate profit.

"We not only have the right and the responsibility we have the power."

There are many ways, too long to list here, that millions of people are being threatened and destroyed by the Bush regime. The millions of people are represented, not by politicians, but by the many protest groups, special interest groups, locally and nationally, who have worked independently for years now, pleading with the established parties and politicians.

But the attempt at reforming the status quo by increasingly ineffective protests, marches, demonstrations against the politicians of both parties must be considered dead.

Please, Cindy Sheehan, as a true national leader respected by millions, in communication with hundreds of groups and thousands of individuals...

ISSUE A CALL TO TO BRING TOGETHER AND UNITE THE PEOPLE UNDER A NEW UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION TO CHANGE AMERICA.... A "PEOPLE'S PEACE PARTY" THE PLATFORM BUILT UPON THE NEEDS EXPRESSED BY THE MANY GROUPS DEMANDING CHANGE:

* Anti war groups, peace groups, to demand an end to the Iraq, Afghanistan war. An end to the Project for the New American Century of global imperialism, pre-emptive war, war for profit and oil. Cut the military budget by 50%, shut down the over 700 foreign bases, reinstate tax cuts to the wealthy and corporations.

* Use the funds released to address the problems of global warming, environmental pollution, water pollution, and food production.

* Create new "living wage" jobs to rebuild our cities, rebuild the infrastructure in disrepair (Katrina!), massive build affordab le housing, public transportation.

* End privatization (i.e. plunder) of the federal government. Shut down military contractors (Black Water) and prohibit mercenaries to operate in the United States.
Oppose privatization of public schools, public health, public utilities, etc.

* Seek out well know authors, journalists, public dissenters who have analysized the problems we face to the point of exhaustion!! The time to act is now!

* We need a new party that is focused on the economic needs "of the people, by the people, and for the people" ! NOT FOR CORPORATE PROFIT! NOT FOR PROFIT A TINY ONE PERCENT OF THE POPULATION!

* Call for a NATIONAL FOUNDING CONVENTION of such a new party. Create a platform for National, State and Local office holders. Seek out the knowledgeable leaders from these groups to organize locally to implement their platform and the platform of the new party.

The very fact of calling for a new party, for calling for a founding convention, with signatures of a thousand individuals, groups, etc. will create an avalanche
of support. The majority of people, as shown by many recent polls, are looking for leadship.

Turn your spark of light into a blazing firestorm!

Do it NOW. November 2008 may be too late.

Dear Mrs. Sheehan:
Please consider those facts:
- Looking at a Middle East Map, you'll find that Israel is bordered to the east by Lebanon/Syria, Iraq and then Iran.
- US occupation of Iraq cuts this continuum in half.
- Pelosi is also known as AIPAC girl.
...
Need I say more? The US will be fighting for Israel for many years to come.
