If the US leaves things will worsen. But frankly, I think the US should pull out, and let everything go to hell, when the Iraqis decide that they have had enough they can put an end to the bullshit. I do not expect that to happen soon.

I applaud every effort to limit or stop this foul and corrupt murdering.
I applaud the work of the IVAW.
I respect Kevin Zeese and Dahr Jamail.

But if Kevin Zeese and Dahr Jamail had discussed space alien influences, curly headed angels, Mother Teresa, or Saint Teresa and her breatharianism; many critical people would have written their comments off as new age hype.

But, when Joanna Macy is invoked with her her magical "great turning," otherwise decent and moderately intelligent people become wildly ecstatic at such earth shaking wisdom for social change.
Why, it is as easy as flipping hotcakes.
Out with silly "dominator models" and in with "nurturing feminine models" as in the Shambala Prophecy as told by guru Rinpoche, an Indian mystic in the mountains.

And these same "politically aware" people find "the coming rapture and social ruptures" of the enraptured Christians all too preposterous?
It is all too similar!

When I see such childish magical and all transforming foolishness presented as our hope for a livable future, I know all too well that there is a gaping hole in this theory for social change.

The so-called 'establishment powers" can't see this ineffectual nonsense for what it is?

"DJ: I feel the two single greatest things people can do to help end the occupation are to support Iraq Veterans Against the War, and to continue to organize locally. IVAW is the spearhead, I feel, of any movement that will be effective in ending the occupation, and organizing locally for local, national, and international issues is paramount for building the infrastructure necessary to radically change the collapsing system we find ourselves in today...."

Absolutely and totally right on, DJ. I've been raising money for IVAW and contributing to them financially for some time, but I don't handle crowds, or the public generally, very well. So I don't get directly involved. At present. If and when I get past this mental problem, I'll contact Kevin Zeese at Democracy Rising.

"...(If you want to get involved in local organizing contact the author at KZeese@DemocracyRising.US.)"

That promise to contact Zeese is the best I can do at this time regarding organizing locally, which I also agree is of paramount importance.

From everything I've encountered in contacting them electronically and by telephone, as a non-vet, IVAW is being targeted and disrupted and infiltrated by The Chipmunk's Administration as much as any pro-Iraq Veteran/anti-Iraq War group in the United States. Because they are the spearhead. Because they do bring together local, national, and international issues. And financial support for IVAW, like I'm providing, although not sufficient is unquestionably necessary to bring about radical change in this country.

Id like to remind people that the US has been behind the market bombings that are being used to creat civilwar.

'Evidence has appeared of US using Iraqi collaborators to bomb markets and make it look like the work of 'insurgents'

====================================

'he former collaborator said that the Americans have a unit for "dirty jobs." That unit is a mix of Iraqis, Americans, and foreigners and of the security detachments that are deployed in Baghdad and other Iraqi cities. This unit doesn't only carry out assassinations, but some of them specialize in planting bombs and car bombs in neighborhoods and markets. This unit carries out operations in which wanted people whom the American army does not want killed are arrested.

The former collaborator said that "operations of planting car bombs and blowing up explosives in markets are carried out in various ways, the best-known and most famous among the US troops is placing a bomb inside cars as they are being searched at checkpoints. Another way is to put bombs in the cars during interrogations. After the desired person is summoned to one of the US bases, a bomb is place in his car and he is asked to drive to a police station or a marked for some purpose and there his car blows up."

The testimony of the former collaborator is consistent with some western reports that have disclosed the involvement of US military personnel in bombings that target Iraqi civilians. The British reporter Robert Fisk, AMSI noted, had recently met with Iraqis in Syria concerning such "black operations" carried out by the Americans.'

Is Darh Jamail aware of this? Because it adds evidence to the idea that therd be no civi, war IF and WHEN US leaves....but the longer they stay, the more likely a fragmentation.
So US OUT OF IRAQ.
