Roach play. i had an old well worn copy of the rich roach drum battle album with me. after the show i asked mr. roach o sign it for me. he did. what was interesting was the look on his face and the inscription. he wrote "to buddy i will always love you" and signed it max roach. a real gentleman. max, i will always love you. tom carmody for max, some time ago i went to see mr.
