Sorry hp. My bad. Didn’t read your last sentence. The “I” word being bandied about today is “Impeachment,” and I jumped the gun, thinking you had scanned my article as rapidly as I evidently did your response. (sigh)

You are absolutely right, and the Democrats are worse than the Republicans when it comes to putting their hands over their hearts, ala Pelosi, and pledging, “Israel First. Israel Forever.”

This subject requires an article of its own, and when I do address the subject — http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Aug06/Samples15.htm — I get my ass kicked all over the Internet. A zionist troll (or two or more) will surf the sites where I am published and demand that the article be removed. I still have scars…

I firmly believe that the genocidial mess we are perpetrating in Iraq is for Israel, and the upcoming nuclear assault on Iran that Bush has already approved — is for Israel.

Ms. Samples, in her response to hp, quotes herself with several references to the I word, all involving impeachment. But hp made it clear that the I word to which he/she was referring was that of Israel, and Samples’ excellent article does indeed ignore that subject, as does nearly all the rest of the Democratic Party which she so rightly castigated. So I’d be interested in Ms. Samples’ response to hp’s accusation that she ignores the albatross of blind U.S. foreign policy adherence to the supposed interests of “Israel” that seems to drive so much of our war-making activity. Until THAT I-word is addressed, along with the broader Washington Consensus of support for U.S. imperialism, the rest is whistling in the wind.

Does it not follow, then, that those coming out against the war, those not supporting the troops by insisting they come home, or those calling for IMPEACHMENT would be engaged in hostilities against the United States? Isn’t that right, Mrs. Pelosi — Mr. Conyers?

It’s no wonder Sheila is perplexed, at a loss, befuddled. She never asks, or mentions, not one single time, the “I” word. Yes, the “I” word. That dreaded word without which these honorable congress people would never be elected. without which we would not be in Iraq at all. Without which we would not be threatening Iran, with nukes, no less. The dreaded “I” word which wins all the votes for most reprehensible country, main threat to peace in the world. The “I” word where Pelosi and the rest of the Democrats and Republicans may as well move their offices.
What ever you do, do not mention the “I’ word, unless it is in glowing reference to our “special relationship,” to our undying allegiance for.
Yes, our very special friend, Israel.
